About me

I’m Joe Kelly, a counsellor based in Leeds, offering online counselling to adults across the UK.

I provide a confidential and supportive space where you can speak openly, understand what you are experiencing and begin making positive changes. I specialise in relationship recovery, anxiety and stress, and boundary building. I often support people who have experienced difficult or unhealthy relationships and are now struggling with self-doubt, low confidence or difficulty trusting their own judgement.

MORE ABOUT ME

My Experience and Approach

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, known as the BACP, and work in line with recognised professional and ethical standards.

With four years of clinical experience, I have supported people experiencing:

  • Guilt and shame
  • Low self-esteem
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Anxiety and overthinking
  • Stress and emotional overwhelm
  • Depression and low mood
  • Anger and frustration
  • Loneliness and isolation
  • Communication problems
  • Difficulty setting boundaries

I also work with people affected by manipulation, controlling behaviour and narcissistic relationship patterns. These experiences can leave you questioning your memories, decisions and understanding of what happened.

Counselling That Builds Independence

My aim is not to keep you in counselling indefinitely. I want to help you develop the understanding, confidence and emotional tools needed to manage future challenges independently.

Weekly sessions are often useful when beginning counselling, but the frequency is entirely your choice. You may prefer weekly, fortnightly or occasional appointments depending on your circumstances.

Online Counselling Sessions

Sessions are available through Microsoft Teams or by telephone between 11:00am and 8:00pm.
All sessions are 50 minutes long.

Online counselling allows you to access support from a familiar, private space without travelling. Although I am based in Leeds, I work with clients throughout the UK.

Taking the Next Step

You do not need to have everything worked out before contacting me. You may know exactly what you need support with, or simply feel that something is not right. Get in touch to ask questions, discuss what you are experiencing and decide whether my counselling approach feels right for you.
